ACYCP Board Member Bios

Winslow is a native of midcoast Maine and a graduate of Middlebury College, Vermont where she earned her BA in International Studies (concentration: Spanish, Latin America, and Sociology) and Education (2011). She was a Spanish and Language Arts Teacher Assistant at the local elementary school and high school in Middlebury for two semesters, and also studied in Valparaíso, Chile for a semester where she taught Middle School English.

For the last five years, Winslow has designed and led adolescent and girls' empowerment programs in the US, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and India. In Mexico, for example, Winslow created and taught a year-long girls' empowerment curricula for 70 high school girls at a home facility for 150 abandoned and orphaned teenagers; the curriculum is being used for the fourth year in a row. In the US, Winslow helped launch and lead numerous month-long adventures for Idaho high school students in Mexico and India with the Flourish Foundation, initiating and securing the international partnership for these trips that focused on contemplative practice and community service as a means to cultivate compassionate world citizens.

Most recently, Winslow was a bilingual advocate at The Advocates for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Idaho where she educated clients about the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault and the options/resources available, provided case management to battered women in the Latina community, and responded to the crisis line.

Currently, Winslow is an Impact Guide with Fathom Travel, Carnival Corporation's newest social impact/mindful travel brand. As such, she guides thousands of travelers on weeklong trips in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, leading onboard programming, lectures, entertainment, and facilitating in-country tours and community service projects.
