Appointed Position - Journal Liaison
Jean Carpenter-Williams is a certified child and youth care practitioner, has been a member of the ACYPC Board since 2004, and currently serves as the board president. She is the director of training development at The University of Oklahoma OUTREACH National Resource Center for Youth Services (NRCYS) where she manages both state and national training and technical assistance programs which focus on the professional development of those who work with children, youth, and families. She co-authored the Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Curriculum and Managing Aggressive Behavior for Direct Care Staff, and is the managing editor of the Journal of Child and Youth Care Work. Prior to coming to NRCYS Jean worked as a youth worker, certified recreational therapists, ROPES Course instructor, and program manager in a variety of youth-serving agencies in Wisconsin and Oklahoma. Jean received both her bachelor and master degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
